And Than There was LIGHT!

So, after many hours of searching for a tutorial on making a Flash Chatroom "And than there was light" with a search on YouTube.com and found a very helpful tutorial with 4 parts explaining from start to finish on a flash chatapp. Well, I created it at 1AM and it works :) still working a acouple bugs out with the auto=refresh but it will update new posts when you post a comment so its progress for another part to my game! now the bad news to making this it only worked in Action Script 3.0 so... good bye action script 2.0, I plan to do a crash course and learn everything upto the level that im at in AS2.

Another Step

So, after working with flash a little on my questions, I got onto Skype with the help desk and they helped me a lot with finally understanding the basics of Arrays and how they work. So, rather than make a lot of sections on the timeline, i will be using arrays to tell if they got the answer wrong or right and also recall if they have been asked the question before and if so to skip to another question that they haven't answered yea. Should be interesting twist to the designing of my project game.

another small step

After countless hours today, i got my random question script to work and posted it on the wiki code library. So, hopefully i get to code the answers with them tomorrow or the next day and start on the countdown part of the game and start placing the score section into the mix to track players progress as they play each time and keep there score.

But, thats it for today.

Creation Coming Back Life

So, the summer is almost over in the next few weeks, I plan to get back into Flash as before with new ideas, and hopefully starting the game design club and get enough members to keep it running.

Hey everyone,

Was thinking, maybe worth a shot at getting more attention to the class maybe a Game Design Club? Maybe it would be a good idea so we can still meet up and work on problems with our games like before.

Thats just me brainstorming.

The Final Word!

My Final review as being in Game Design 1, but looking forward to the next.

This class was very awesome in general but I feel that more in class time would of worked out better, due to the problem of CS3-CS4 being a lot to buy for just the average person. So, being in class would mean more production on the output of our project files.
