Coming Together

I was brainstorming about the structure of my game and everything started coming together, just need to get Artwork and learn the coding now.

For the basic setup there is a Map View, City View, and Town View
Map View-Is where u get to see your location to each other players and do your movements.
City View-Is a place to view your resource types to provide for your city.
Town View-Is where you can select your buildings and interact with them.

Ideas for general Artwork
Most of the units and buildings are just models. At at different levels they could change their appearance.
The main screen to manage your cities, your overall troop count, rank and title, maybe an ad section also, overall life score during the game, Current Alliance group and position there.

Ideas for the coding
Most of the coding is going to be math formula, like for example: to build this you need 100 credits, so ("-100"unit/building, "100"currentamount)build time set to end at"xx:xx"
This game is going to have to just a database to track everything also.

Ideas on Quests for the game
Each member can take time in during quests to get different supplies, items, throughout the game.
Mini-Daily Quests will be added as there completed.

Ideas on different Playing VS "Player" and "Computer"
Player Vs Computer
Each member will be able to attack computer controlled preset cities called Non-Player-Controlled "NPC" during the game.

Player VS Player
Each member can also attack another player of the game at anytime because the game is live and never offline. When you log off its more like just stepping away from the computer. So, this will keep the member base coming back to check for anything new and etc..

Basic to Expect levels of each building
The game will have a mini level of 1 and a maximum of 20th level for buildings to advance. The game will be make it extremely hard to get past level 15 on buildings to make it challenging.

Supplies for Players
At the beginning of the game each player will be given a set amount of supplies to start with. But must be careful to build the right buildings first otherwise be stuck with the basic production rate of 100 each/hour.

Alliance limits and Uses
Each alliance will have a overall commander and sub-ranks with a max of 150 members per alliance.
When in a group(Alliance) each person will be able to talk withing the alliance chat-room sectioned off for the rest of the gamers.
Each member will be able to see if there members are being attacked or attacking, but only player vs player reports.

I.P. logger
The game will log the current I.P. of each user to keep them from windowing multi-copies of the game to create extra accounts. I think of this as cheating or trying to get a better advantage to the player with only 1 account.

Be become rank 1, and destroy your enemies.

alright thats just some more ideas that i had for the game. Keep watching for new ones :)

Carl, I cant even imagine the time you put into thinking up a game like this. It sounds awesome and I cant wait to play, I hope everything goes smoothly in the coding process, goodluck!

with it being text based and not much moving parts will help the coding part.
